Camera, camera pole and tablet on bottom?

I got a Ferret camera. This camera is very small approx 4 inches long and about a 1/2 inch diameter. I have attached it to a 30 inch telescoping pole. The Ferret camera has a download for my phone. Works great. Used to use binoculars but was amazed with the camera the number of cracked shingles found. got all this for less than $200.00. Worth the investment.

Nice pics, Bert!

…and there others, too.

Patrick, I have this same camera and same length of pole but the communication between the camera and my iPhone was very weak like a still picture and no reaction from my iPhone to take pictures. Do you have any communication tips between the two

Hi James,

I haven’t had the same issue. Th only thing I can think of is, I pair the phone and camera first and then hoist it up with the pole once synced.

Is your connection to the iPhone stable? I’m looking for a new remote camera setup. I have been using a Cannon ELPH190, however, the connectivity issues have pushed my limits. As if the connectivity is not bad enough, what makes it worse is reconnecting consists of taking the pole down, or out of the attic space when taking roof-to-wall pictures and having to shut down/power back up to get the camera and wifi to reconnect. When you have a pole extended across an attic in at times limited space, it’s enough to make you wonder why I haven’t thrown the camera off a roof. Have also tried a Victure action waterproof camera, however that app has a habit of locking up and this camera is going back since it’s in the Amazon return window.

Yes the connection I would say is pretty solid.

There have been a few times that it wasn’t perfect and I think it has more to do with Fujifilms app than the actual distance of the camera to phone or the Bluetooth signal.

My extension pole goes 30 feet so I can only speak up to that distance, but I still would recommend it for sure.
