I just use my tool belt… When I have to use the DOCA pole…

I had my fishing belt sitting on a shelf until I thought to use it. It doesn’t collect any dust now.

I’m using an old Canon SX620. I’ve also used the sx740 but the connection to the phone is much weaker. I and some other guys on the team have also tried different Lumix cameras but they have always been buggy compared to Canon. Zoom point and shoot cameras aren’t really being made anymore so everything is very expensive old stock or used. I’m looking to try a newer model Gopro. They have strong wireless connections and good apps, and are obviously durable. Even without a zoom lense cropping the high res photos will probably get most of what you need.

I use an Insta360 X3 on one of my camera poles. It takes the aiming out of it.
I found the 24 foot pole a bit too much, so I’m kinda sticking to the 12 foot one. It seems to be enough. I will still bring the bigger one, but I never end up using it.
I usually buy gopro knock offs. They can take video or stills. And usually cheap enough that if one breaks, it’s not the end of my world.
