Can anyone tell me what this is?!


The house had electric heat and one of these in each room very close to the ground, lower than the normal outlets.

Looks like an old TV antenna wall plate.

From here in GA, it looks like a modified receptacle outlet that maybe ran an antenna or cable connection to the lower duplex. Both appear to have safety plugs with the lower having been drilled out based on an enlarged picture.

You could always take the cover plate off to get a better look.

Old coax cable or antenna… judging by the wood paneling it’s from the era that those things were popular :slight_smile: Was there a 20 foot long antenna in the attic? I always chuckle when I find those… that was the absolute top of the line setup back in the day.

Found 2 of those antennas’ in a 70’s build couple months ago all kinds of other cool stuff from the era (including the paneling) was left in the home too.
