With all our new students we send them the “Home Reference Book” ahead of the class and urge them to read it and then answer the Q / A in the HRB study guide to give them a head start in the class.
Works good. We buy them a case at a time (5 to a case - Price is then $45.00 each including S/H
Good reference book - BUT Not as a working inspection checklist.
Check your local library. I found a copy in mine.
FYI in response - Alan Carson is not another arm chair quarterback or coach. Alan Carson is a past president of ASHI and been heavily involved in the home inspection sector. He has held a number of positions of distinction in this field.
I cannot speak for him other than I know that he has a vast experience in the field of home inspection and speaker that promotes some visionary thinking.
