Certified Master Inspector coming to Ontario in a big way.

Whats the difference between this is being exploited for becoming a CMI to get a the CMI just to get the license. Less evil because it’s your buddy Nick?

Actually Florida Nachi proved that it would take $100 for anyone who could spell inspector and could care less what harm it had on the profession or the public. As long as pockets were bulging people were smiling…

At least the NAHI test isn’t almost the EXACT same test you take online.

I personally know of two people who have NEVER been in construction and have NEVER done a home inspection that passed that test. How? They took the online test a few times and BINGO it was VERY VERY similar to the written test that was administered. Congrats on making it cheap Nick…

In a free market, yes. In a manipulated market, an entity charges much more if it can become exclusively mandated by law.

Great now we know why you raised the CMI to $1000…thanks for the info.

CMI isn’t mandated anywhere in the world, but it’s probably going to $2,500 soon.

So when it goes to $2500 are you really going to charge them or just give them away and try to give them $250 to take it?

I’ll continue to periodically offer to pay the CMI fee for a few certain InterNACHI members when and where it makes sense, but after it goes to $2,500… I’ll probably buy a lot fewer.:stuck_out_tongue:

This is a classic, especially in the public threads. Nothing like the head honcho trying to PAY people to take his “designation”. Kinda embarrassing to the rest of us members.

You obviously can’t read or comprehend tonight…or forgot what happened in BC…Go have another drink!!

Did you have a look at the website of the current INACHI “certified” member who is not doing inspections in BC?

BOW-WOW!!

But Russell, he wouldn’t accept, proving my point. His opinion is that of a non-business person. Even when I create a profitable, no risk scenario, the non-business person won’t see it or grab it. If we raise the price of CMI to $2,500 the business person will recognize the value and jump on it.

What is my point here? My point here is that the success of an inspector has nothing to do with the opportunities available to him and everything to do with the inspector’s recognition and exploitation of those opportunities. CMI is like a gorgeous titanium-headed hammer laying on the ground… some carpenters will walk right by it. But that doesn’t change the hammer.

Brian, all inspectors in BC can get a license through our CanNACHI. CanNACHI is fully approved in BC for pre-licensing. Sorry you didn’t get them memo before you made your post.

Right on, Russel!!! He’s cheapened the whole HI profession. Tries to smooze or buy those that oppose.

Don’t be taken in by his offer the other night to fly to Florida to help you in the HI complaint…in his eyes, you’d be a big fish to have on his side and he’d be willing to do just about anything to get you there!!! A few years ago, he offered to fly me to Toronto to sit with him at his table…no, thank-you!!!

Soon CMI will be a world wide standard. Brian can serve tables at our first world wide convention.

Menu please…

So now you claim ownership of CANNACHI…have you told them? They have claimed no association. Which is it???

And how many of the “jilted” INACHI CHI’s went to CANNACHI which was months getting off the ground and accepted by BC…it appears that many went with the other orgs to preserve their incomes.

We have never seen a CANNACHI members list…a bit embarrassing, is it?? Not at all like INACHI that displays all…a bit odd to myself!!! Any reason for that?

Saved, before it get’s deleted.

Hilarious, Jeff!!!:twisted::twisted::twisted:

Brian, I’m here to run the world’s biggest, best inspection association, not to play Dr. Phil. But I’ll tell you straight up…fear has a hold of you. Fear is the devil’s tool and you have to be aware of it, especially in business. It will hold a man down.

I’m a dropout and I read at a 7th grade level, yet every business I touch makes silly money. Why? It ain’t because I’m smart, like you are.

I’m not advising you to be fearless, I’m advising you to see fear. Do an inspection on it.

Just trying to help.

Now, back to running the world’s biggest, best inspection association.

So Brian, you complain that it is “embarrassing” that CanNACHI doesn’t provide a member list and you complain that it is “odd” that InterNACHI does.

Do you know who Sybil is?

You and John M not comprehending what you’re reading tonight? So slowly…Is the CANNACHI members list so tiny as to be embarassing to release to the public… as opposed to…the INACHI members list which is always available for public viewing? I find the difference in members’ lists policy between the two “NACHI” orgs odd. Got it now?

CanNACHI is not required to mimic InterNACHI’s policies any more than Florida InterNACHI has to.

CanNACHI is more related to Florida InterNACHI, than InterNACHI, in that CanNACHI and Florida InterNACHI shared a common initial purpose: That being to provide an approved avenue for InterNACHI members to get licensed in their respective jurisdictions (AB & FL).
