You really have to check out this panel. I almost cried when I saw it.

Have you ever seen such a professional job in your life?

Yes, I have as a matter of fact. Square turns on every wire all bundled neatly. A really perfect panel.

If I could remember which house it was in, I'd pull up the picture, but I can't.

Unfortunately, most of mine look like this.

I hope we’re adding “beautiful” pictures to our library in addition to the “ugly” pictures.

Do you want me to send you some handkerchiefs for the next time feel like crying?

Unfortunately the cables appear to be more than 12" from the box before they are secured. This would be a violation. Fortunately we are not code officials so it does appear to be a neat job. I just hope that there are no bare metal areas where it bolts to the concrete to facilitate corrosion. They will have to add in some wood or screw clamps the concrete when the panel expands and new circuits are added down the road. There are only so many openings at the top & the side knock outs will have to be used eventually.

Other than that, it is a pretty darn nice job. Sorry to burst your bubble Joe. Just can't make me happy can ya??

Jeff,

Not a problem! You are correct, it is more than 12 inches. I was pretty amazed they even bothered to secure them at all, most that I inspect don't. ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

But what the heck it allowed me to get another inspection, suck up to the realtor and the seller, screw the buyer, check a few blocks on my one page report, seal the deal, and walk away with the check.

NOT!!!
