Can you honestly say that you wouldn’t be rushing to vote for McCain any less this election if Hillary was running instead of Obama? Its a given that the same themes of being too liberal, having a shaddy background and being grossly unqualified to be President would have been used by the GOP fearmongers on Hillary as they are on Obama, as they were on John Kerry, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, … . The GOP has mastered this craft of goading conservatives to the polls to vote for their equally dispicable liberal candidates. Its no wonder they continue to field pathetic candidates; they are afforded the luxury.

I think the Plumber Joe fiasco was a great ploy to expose Obama’s joke of an economic plan. Is that supposed to distract me from McCain’s abysmal “pander-to-Corporate-America-naively-hope-for-the-best” a.k.a. Corporate Socialism plan?

We’re so f****d because everyone thinks that it is only these two that can be voted for.

Nick, you haven’t faced the fact that the third place finisher will get less that 5% of of the vote.
Probably much less.

I know that the third placer doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting an insignificant 5 percent of the vote. Casting the winning vote isn’t of concern to me when the only viable candidates disgrace my beliefs. I’d rather starve than to choose between a feces sandwich or a vomit soup.

You should take your area and form a grass roots program to be more viable the next term. Thats how to start it! But if a party garners around 2% of the vote they are more of a tool to hurt the party closet to their beleifs. No? I like the party you like and in fact every internet thing that figures what your beliefs are in line with, I come up Libertarian. F****d up? You aint seen nothin yet! Did you read my post in one of these threads about when you commented on jobs going over seas? Do you agree with my post?

I don’t know if grassroots parties are worth the time anymore. I don’t have the time and charisma to find that out for myself either.

Yeah, I saw the reply on outsourcing. I think it is naive to assume that simply lowering corporate taxes will stave off outsourcing. I think we should just leave them where they are at and forget about this attempt by Corporate America to further leverage us into giving away everything else to them. Obama’s plan will no doubt send more jobs overseas but I bet McCain’s plan won’t stave off outsourcing either (though it likely will compel less outsourcing than Obama’s), for cheap labor does wonders to the bottom line of businesses …

Point well taken!

Maybe I should clear up something about all of this:

I am NOT a McCainiac…

nor am I an Obamanator…

I was quite disappointed with the “primary elections” (what a farce).

When, for whatever reason, the GOP and the Democrats decided to spread the elections over a period of several months, it would seem as if the more qualified fell off the trail and all that was left was two lesser, not so capable candidates. I never got to cast a vote for my candidate, and that left me very cold.

My biggest concern is with Obama–his complete lack of experience (truly, what has he accomplished–on his own?). If he is elected, and he most likely will be, the government will not be in the hands of our own elected officials, but rather in the control of the Party Machine–namely the Chicago Political Mob.

McCain, on the other hand, would be just another buffoon stumbling through the paces. With any luck, a new Congress (throw out the old bums) may just give a better outlook.

Which would be better? Or which would be the lesser (in which case–better) of the two worst candidates ever?

With which I agree.

There have periodic reports over the last few months (which somehow don’t seem to show up in the news media–wonder why) about several companies that have found the overseas thing not to their liking. They are planning to return to the U.S. when it becomes feasible–the elections not withstanding.

Much of the Info Tech that has been outsourced to Asia has already returned to our shores because it proved fruitless. And more is planned.

It’s been a pleasure recently to speak with someone with no accent. I understand them, they understand me, things happen…

Jae,
Everyone knows what I think of Obama but to add fuel to the fire, I am real troubled with him as president and a congress in both houses dominated by libs and socialist. Unless one totally believes in that system and follows lock step in its beliefs they had better wake up because this is not a good thing. Think hard and outside of the box about that scenerio! If each house was controlled by a different party I think that is probably what works best. The next president will appoint at least one judge if not two! Think about that one as well! I mean its much more than this I hate Bush thing!

I am not voting for mcCain because I like him, I am voting against obama, because I do not believe he is American,(Nothing to do with citizenship status) dam the issues, to me it all about his character, his past associations, and most of all, his mentors, the ones who impressed upon his mind, their ideaologies. In his books, he speaks of his disdain for white people, and he often quotes and refers to someone who impressed him as a teen in Hawaii named Frank, but is always careful to never mention Frank’s last name, which is Davis, Frank Marshall Davis, a well known member of the CPUSA,(Communist Party of the United States of America, he says his uncle helped liberate Auswitch while in the Army in WWII,(The Russians liberated that camp. His parents met in a Russian language class, in Hawaii. He talks like a communist, everytime he mentions wealth distribution. He is the member of a Racist church for over twenty years and says Wright is Family, until it hurts his ratings, he refused to wear an American Flag on his Lapel, refused to place his hand over his heart during the National Anthem, has a wife who says she has never been proud of America, he comes out the gate, talking about cutting future defense projects. He says the most beautiful sound on Earth is the Muslim prayer in the evening. He started out as a Muslim, but claims he switched to Christianity, but the Muslims endorse him, but it is written in their Koran that anyone who defects must be killed. In an interview, he said McCain has never attacked his Muslim Faith. He has ties to known terrorist, and also to an organization,(Acorn) that is commiting voter fraud, plus gives them money. Now I just cannot believe all of this is just innocent coincidence. Any one of these things might not mean much, but if you tie them together, it is not a pretty picture. Bottom line, I cannot hand the keys to all of America’s secrets and weapons to someone with such a questionable past! I can’t place my Grandkids future well being over to him! Did I mention he is a Lawyer?
