You bet! Bottom line, just treat it like another inspection. Don’t even pay attention to what the builder may or may not cover. That is not your concern.

We do a lot of “Builder’s Warranty” inspections here BUT…they’re still full inspections. We’ll review the warranty docs with the homeowner but we also explain we’re looking for installation defects and other issues that are not necessarily covered as “warranty” items but should still be addressed with the builder. And…no discounts…unless we have to go back 3 or 4 times because the builder doesn’t know how to read an SE drawing when repairing engineered trusses. But that’s another story for another time.
