The deck has random board spacing (none to approx. 1/8") with buckling/warping. Anyone know the proper spacing. (Don’t know the manufacturer.

Peter,

It's hard to believe that you have composite decking that is warping. What sort of hardware did they utilize? Did they use ring or spiral shank screws? Were they fastened properly?

About the spacing...

I've seen several with no spacing at all but manufacturer's directions are as follows....

To accommodate expansion and proper drainage, a 1/8? space should be left between each parallel deck board. Between each end-to-end seam, leave 1/16" space for every 25 degree variance between installation temperature and maximum service temperature. A 1/4" space should be left between the house and deck board (when applied perpendicular to the house).

Hope this helps.
