I hope fellow NACHI members will join me in welcoming our newest member as a Certified Home Inspector, my son, Brian.
Can you imagine how proud I was when Nick e-mailed the good news? The next proud moment will be when his photo will be placed on our website (built by Chris) next to mine confirming his status as a Certified Home Inspector.
Brian will be taking over the business when I retire in the near future. Brian will allow me to tag along on inspections with him as he knows how hard it is to leave this great profession. I'm 71 yo and still walking the roofs and checking the attics and crawl spaces, may be the oldest HI still working.
Brian brings to the profession 25 years experience in all phases of construction and is highly qualified to meet the high standards set by NACHI to become a CHI.
Welcome, Brian, I am so proud of your accomplishments.

Dave -
Thats great, congratulations.
Last year I trained a 76 year old college professor. Here locally we have a licensed PE home inspector that celebrated his 80th birthday last summer. We have several inspectors locally in the 69 - 73 year old range.
Just goes to show you can do this job for quite a while.
