Copper to PVC

Inspected a house with original copper throughout the house. In various areas it has been replaced with PVC. Not sure how to recommend on the plumbing.

That's key. PVC is not allowed for use in distribution. CPVC is.

Copper to CPVC (or CPVC to copper) is common and okay.

Transitions and connections need to be observed carefully. If you are looking at threaded connections at any point in your system, be aware of male copper (or other metal threads) x female CPVC connections. Folks tend to over-torque the metal threads into the CPVC female receptor…CRACK!!! Done it myself a few times. Check that…more than a few times.
