These panels are called “refractory panels” and they can usually be replaced individually if you can find the a source. Typically I have found that any fireplace supplier will be able to hook you up with replacement parts. The most common brand found is “Marco” who went out of business years ago. I got a toll free number for replacements but I have not used it in some time. Give it a try 1-800-331-9234. Hope it works out for you. I have talked to a local chimney cleaning company and the standard that is used in the industry is if you can insert a dime in the crack then it needs to be replaced. A hairline crack is not necesarily cause for replacement. Hope this helps.
