Cut-off for the Bathrooms ?
It could be the accessible main water shutoff, or have you located that yet?
Yes… the main water shutoff is on the exterior of the mobilehome next to gas meter
did You try it to see what it shut off ?
Its was behind the Master bath … Im thinking it was a cut-off for the bath.
I would recommend that the buyer ask the homeowner what its purpose was.
thanks … Will do
^^^ This…
The main water shut off and water heater is often hidden in a bedroom closet.
Given the size it looks like a second main. The folks manufacturing the home didn’t know there would also be one outside.
That is why I asked if You turned it off,it looks like the typical main shut off I see on manufactured homes all the time…there is usually one inside somewhere and not always where You would think to look for it…
and by the way a single handle cut off for a bathroom doesn’t make much sense, unless the bathroom only has hot or cold water, not both…
its fine. Carry on boss man.
I’m not a fan of turning on/off any valves but definitely not CPVC. That crap will break if you look at it wrong.
My son is a plumber and I have taken his advice (and now yours) Don’t touch!
Two times over the last +/- 10 years we’ve broken a supply low-point drain hanging just out of sight, buried in the insulation in a crawl space. It’s just crazy how brittle that crap is. When things go wrong in this biz we of course try to keep it from happening again but I don’t know how to stop moving in crawl spaces without my back touching the insulation!
When in doubt, recommend vender’s disclosure.
Main water shut-off or more convenient one than crawling under the manufactured home. I have see the exact same one again this month.
Only call it a mobilehome if its older then 1976 , after 1976 its a Manufactured home. Know the difference, as agents and Buyers could get real angry if they see that on a report.
