Thanks, Joe. Its good to hear from someone who has spent time in this part of the world and understands. I am an American living and working in Prague (come visit, most people say its the most beautiful city in the world) who has 20 years of providing world-class real estate services in more than 20 countries. Most of those countries have been emerging markets, former socialist countries who have had to make the difficult transition to a market economy. Unlike in the US, where the real estate and mortgage market have been around for eons, the market here is still very young and many of the services you may take for granted just don’t exist yet - including home inspections. There is a real need here for such a service and I am trying to develop it (as far as I know my company is the first). How can I benefit from NACHI? The same as anybody else, its the best organization for home inspections I know (and I checked quite thoroughly) and provides a wealth of ideas, knowledge, support and help. And here on the frontier, thats a great benefit.

Never a problem Gary. You’ll never KNOW the answers unless you ask the questions and it was a VERY good question.
Hi Stan, Yes it is VERY beautiful there but in looking at the buildings, (only being in a few) I did note A LOT of discrepancies but of course that was to my standards not theirs as like you said they have never really had any.
Being the FIRST will set you up to establish the standards and you should see what info you can get from the local government there as in what they do require and possibly get new ones established for the safety issues there.
Again WELCOME to NACHI and I am sure that everybody here is more than willing to assist in any way they can and the information and knowledge available here is phenomenal and we are/try to be as hospitable as possible.
Best of luck in your endeavor. ![eusa_clap.gif](upload://vwXJP6EroRUgatgS660IOyuD5XK.gif)

Great! I hope the door is opened now! There are probably many more across the globe who need and want to be associated with such a great organization. Its possible that NACHI will in the future be viewed as not only the preeminent home inspection organization in North America but worldwide as well. I’m sure such associations will be mutually beneficial. Nick, if there is any way I can help in this international aspect please let me know.
