Does your home inspector offer sewer line protection

Yes we will be offering the sewer, and water line protection through RWS. If any consumers are reading this thread, they can see that home inspectors don’t understand the importance of this coverage, and won’t offer it. We will. Buyers can rest assured that they will have more protection in place when using us for their home inspections.

Caveat Emptor

Another useless gimmick. http://www.ky3.com/news/local/buyer-beware-water-line-insurance/-/21048998/22340330/-/gc9q4cz/-/index.html

In this case, the home owner will be able to (and should) pursue the inspector who sold it in the event of loss to real and personal property.

That really was not an answer to my questions.

Nathan, is there any fine print to this insurance?

What will the maximum payout per claim be limited to?

Or will you pay the entire repair amount no matter what the cost was?

Thanks

Jim

What does the plan that you offer your clients at no cost to them pay out in the event of a claim?

Here you go again, you just can’t help yourself from spinning from the point.

Asked but Never answered, I asked what the limit of coverage per claim would be? Or would you pay the entire repair. Please answer.

As far as The CFP who brought that up? not anyone here just you. I quests you still don’t like the fact that some Inspectors do not believe in Selling their clients private information to anyone like a third party vendor such as yourself.

As far as my eligibility in this sewer insurance selling, thanks but no thanks. I do not believe in selling my clients information to anyone for any reason and if that is your business model I am not interested even if you were giving away solid gold nuggets with ever collected clients data, I still would stay clear of such an offer.

I don’t sell sewer(or any other) insurance like you so I wouldn’t know.

Since you wanted to play games here for no reason whatsoever let me ask you something kid,

Are you a Certified Inspector in Virginia yet Juan? The Commonwealth of Virginia offers and recommends that Home Inspectors be Certified in the Great State of Virginia, so are you? or do you just tell people you are a Certified inspector when you are really not?

Jim

Those would be solid rocks painted as gold.

The proof will be in the details of the “contract” of this farce he is pushing.

JMOH, of course! ;-)*

I have to agree with Nathan here. If you have no intention to ever use his products, he has no obligation to provide you with any information regarding them. Pretty simple observation really…

That’s what I figured…LOL

Jim

Jeff with all due respect to you, anyone including you or Nick and all of his clients should want to know what the terms are of this new sewer insurance is. So just because he refuses to answer the question from me because I don’t use him because I don’t believe in selling or releasing my clients information to anyone, my question is quite reasonable to ask.

Jim

LOL…When inspectors start to squirm and lie about me, I know I am on the right path!*

I understand completely and also understand how one word can change a paragraph.
Switch the word adding with selling.

Yes I can upsell and get the point.

Simply stating that fact and have no interest in slamming those that do but will take offence if it is ever suggested those that upsell are looking out for the client better.

Hope that makes perfect sense or we have an issue.
Otherwise carry on …

Dude I am way to big to squirm, and could you mention the lie? Are you Certified in The Commonwealth of Virginia or not? A simple Yes or No will work.

Jim

Where’s the lie? Post your certificate as proof of your accusation that Jim is lying.

Again, I’ll have to disagree.

You (and some others) want to know the terms so that you can try and rip on his service/coverage. If you have no intention to ever use it, it makes no difference the extent of the limits.

I don’t offer warranties as part of my inspections, so I could care less what they purport to offer. However, if I were inclined to change my position, I would send Nate an email or private message requesting more info.

I don’t use HIP, so I have no reason to criticize Dom or his product. I don’t use several of the E&O providers on this board, so again, I have no business asking their exclusions - it’s really that simple.

If/when I consider their services, then I will inquire with them directly.

That’s all nice to here, and I respect the way YOU choose to do things. I and some others believe if someone is going to use the open forum as their method of advertising, then they also need to accept the same for questions and answers. You know that goose and gander thing;)

Just too add just because I personally choose not to use certain gimmicks in my business as you don’t either, does not mean I am not interested in what some others are doing. Knowledge is ones best and most valuable tool. I need to stay on top of my game and my competition and that requires knowing as much as I can about any product that any competition might be using.

Oh and FYI this thread started out the 1st few pages without thee mention of Nathan, it was started from Juan about the sewer insurance he was going to start giving to his clients. So I will admit it sounded interesting as did others and the discussion began. Then it was announced that this was another Nathan insurance product, and then it was him that started with the CFP crap and all the negativity.

Anyway have a great and most of all a Healthy day.

Jim

And there it is  Throw the baby out with the bath water - “It’s a cool concept, but it’s attached to Nathan.”

Although I don’t currently use any of his services or products, I believe Nate is quite a savvy businessman. As such, he knows where to focus his attention.

Happy & healthy day to you as well.

We have a company here that will video the sewer drain for 50 bucks. He is going full bore on his jobs. Do I recommend it be done? You bet.
Would I provide the service for 45 bucks? Not a chance in H E double hockey sticks.
