I have a friend who is very busy here in Orange County, CA doing reverse mortgages. While not all of his transactions require an inspection, a significant number have roofing , plumbing or other issues that need to be cleared before the loan can fund.
He has asked me to do a couple of inspections, but if it is an FHA loan, they require the inspector to be LICENSED. Has anyone run up against this? Is it a fact? What kind of license is required?
I could get quite a bit more business if I could cross this hurdle.
Thanks.
