Ejector pump for laundry - Ohio

Hi all - looking to see if anyone is familiar with using an ejector pump for laundry discharge? The property is in Ohio, concrete slab, laundry was added later so rather than break any concrete etc in order to reach the drain line, the laundry discharges directly to an ejector pump. I feel like it should go into a utility sink first then an ejector? Just seems like a flood waiting to happen if the pump fails? Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks!

Any photos?

I have no problem with a property installed ejector pump. No sink needed.

Thanks Brian! Appreciate the response. Added a couple pics. Not familiar with these things, just feels sketch honestly!

It’s fine Jeff.

Thanks Joe!!

I called out one because it was simply a garbage can with a sump pump set in it with a hose micky moused into the drain system.
