One cost benefit is if you buy an EV you won’t have house repair payments since you won’t be able to afford a house!
Technology will ALWAYS drive down costs or it’s not really technology… or in other words technology which isn’t cost effective isn’t implemented. Case in point.
- Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said the standard version of the SU7 will sell for 215,900 yuan ($30,408) in the country — a price he acknowledged would mean the company was selling each car at a loss.
- Tesla’s Model 3 starts at 245,900 yuan in China.
- Lei claimed the standard version of the SU7 beat the Model 3 on more than 90% of its specifications, except on two aspects that he said it might take Xiaomi at least three to five years to catch up with Tesla on.
That’s called dumping.
Or capitalism.
Depending.
Remember when Amazon spent about $5 Billion in investor money to sell books online at a loss?
Is it the way you look? . . or the Ma Deuce!
Both, take your pic!
Im guessing that is Your basic combo deal…
I’ve had a couple Teslas now. It’s my main driver for inspections. I’ve never had an issue with them. I still have my F250, CJ7, and a few other vehicles. I didn’t buy it to save the earth. The model Y costs half that of my pickup. I never go to the gas station or service center. It costs me $0.03 per mile to charge at home and current mileage deductions for 2024 is $0.67 per mile. I understand they aren’t ideal in all regions, but here in the high plains and all single story homes it works great.
Very happy with my 2012 Prius, bought it off lease with just less than 100K miles, could have sold it a few months back for about what I paid for it, but I plan to keep it until it turns 300K miles.
Last year the inverter failed the tech showed me the fried mosfet, fortunate for me the inverter had a 15 year warranty. They picked up the car and performed the repair for no cost to me whatsoever, needless to say I like Toyota.
