Exclusive deal for InterNACHI members on QuickFill Home Inspection Reporting Software

Limited to Florida inspectors/ inspections.

Due to the high density of slab-on-grade homes, thus the “QuickFill” reporting feature, eg. 90-minutes or less!

Everyone wants you on a “Subscription” anymore. You can’t just buy it outright. But that’s been going on for a while now…I’m glad to be retired. :man_shrugging: LOL!

Carry-on…

It is definitely the new way. But when you think about it, software companies can’t really make it getting just one single payment from their customers. Not when it is expected that the software will continue to work as our devices change technology every year or so.

Yeah, it has to be a “win/win” but everything???

It has worked for a long time. They can release updates and charge for them if they want.

Not everything works forever. It isn’t cheap to find and hire software developers.

That’s basically what they are doing. They are just doing it in a way that provides a consistent source of revenue so they can fund day-to-day operations.

Damn! Just how much of that Spectora Kool-aid did you drink?!!

It’s not just Spectora. All of the top software companies are this way now. And not just home inspection software of course.

Yeah, I know, but it is so much fun to rag on you about your ‘sweetheart software’!

It’s OK. It has it’s pros and cons, just like everything else I suppose. I have about 20 things I would like to see changed, lol.

I own my software and pay $149.00 a year which includes any software updates, tech support if needed, and the use of the cloud.

I could choose not to pay the fee and still use the software minus the perks, but for $149.00 a year it’s pretty much a no brainer.

Every inspection I perform makes the original cost of my software (that I bought 20 years ago) cheaper when calculated price per inspection. :grinning:

About 18 years ago, I developed my own digital report form. Back then, none of the digital reports had the look and form I wanted and I wanted a report that was centered on what I see in Colorado. It took over 80 hours of work to get it ready to go, but it has saved me a fortune in subscription fees. The flip side is that many of these subscription services have great and interesting features and side services that have value. It’s my personality to shy away from subscription things to the things that I can own outright, but it’s getting to the point that the best services are usually subscription.

Hi Tom,
Yes, only Florida inspectirs will be interested in our products at this time. Theuly are for doing the Wind Mitigation, 4 Point Inspection and Roof Inspection so Florida residents can get their home owner’s insurance.

Soon it’s going to take some magic software to be able to accomplish that, with the way things are going with insurance companies in Florida.

Hi Tom,
Yep, we are the only state where the 4 Points and Wind Mits are done to get insurance. I would imagine the insurance companies may start making some of the other states do them also. Let me know if you hear anything about that starting to happen.

No kidding, it’s getting crazy ain’t it!?

Hi Larry,
That’s why we have TWO products. The app is a subscription but the QuickFill Report Packet is a PDF software that is a one time fee. Seems like half the inspectors fo for the one time fee on the PDF software and half of them go for the mobile app subscription.
