Extension cords in a 'permanent' application

Recently ran across this:

Just unplug it when not in use. By definition, it becomes temporary and the problem goes away.

i would suggest one of these at a minimum. a heavy duty appliance extension cord.

If the supporting structure is RIGID enough I would simply install a cover with a KO and run a peice of MC or sealtite down ( I say that because I would like to see the insulated EGC inside it…since I am talking surface extention ) and then mount a box to the support rack…then plug the unit it at that point.

I could solve that problem for about $ 20 bucks…:wink:
