Yikes…had my best month so far and doubled my inspections in September, but not one call even for a quote in over a week…yikes!! icon_sad.gif

Now I know why they call it Fall!

Had a hunting trip planned mid October, but now I may just have to cancel it. No income=No fun!

Some inspectors I know do about 90% of their marketing in late fall, early winter. This helps them hit the ground running after the Holidays. The theory is that you’ll be too busy in the Spring and Summer inspecting instead of marketing.

For the first time ever I booked two jobs in one day and the next day booked one more. All were referrals from past clients. I’m giddy.

Lots of peak and valleys in the Chicago area this time of year too. Very busy then no work… Part of being self-employed. Gotta’ take the good with the bad. icon_confused.gif

Brings to mind the budgeting queston. What do you set aside for the valley times? 3, 4 months living expenses?

General business principle is to always have at least 6 months living expenses in cash. Not stocks or future lotto winnings. icon_wink.gif
