I purchased a FLIR T4oo camera last year and live in a area of very little home inspections are currently going on. I have not been able to justify the cost of the camera for my community. The camera is great and is like new only used in about 10 home inspections. I purchased an extra battery and the calibration date is May 14, 2008. This is the camera with all the nice features including fusion and uses 76,800 sensors to create a picture. The manufactures web site www.flir.com/

Anyone considering, the size of the camera screen is a substantial plus to those of us over 50 that have visual impairments.
For those of you that want to see on the camera screen without going back to your computer, this is the camera for you[FONT=Tahoma][size=2].
[/size][/FONT]This camera has more bells and whistles that I wish to acquire[FONT=Tahoma][size=2]. But this is just me and my budget.

Unless it is an absolutely screaming deal, I would wait until at least the 19th of this month before buying any camera.

Buy a new camera this year 2009 and its a 100% deduction…But only on a NEW camera.

For me it was give the money to Uncle or buy a new camera:mrgreen:

What is the best camera dollar for dollar for the home inspector? I do not want to over purchase features that will not be necessary but want to take advantage of any new technological developments. I can wait until the 19th but I am ready to buy.
