Shawn,
Check out Home Inspector Pro (HIP) to use as your inspection reporting software.
Not difficult if you study using the tools here to help you.
How long did it take you or haven’t you had the opportunity yet.
BTW, are you state certified?
I think he may just have a tad bit of actual EXPERIENCE
Bill don’t need NO STINKING LICENSE…
Or at least should not need one He has actual experience which is way better than a piece of crap paper, at least in my mind.
I will thanks I looked up this software downloaded it with my phone and playing around with it I’ll do the trial once I get my license in hand within two to three weeks
I’m sure he has, just boils my blood on nights with a full moon when someone belittles another’s achievement. We all had to START somewhere.
I agree with Nick!!!
Yea, the five bucks will probably break the bank…

I am pretty sure Bill could pass the test. I know he had to pass one for FABI.
He isn’t exactly a newbie…
all my paperwork done in the mail now we just wait.
Shawn,
are you allowed any notes when taking the state exam? or is it ‘closed-book’ so to speak?
Rob
No notes, no books. and about 50% harder than the practice exam here.
-Carl
Yeah make sure you download the study guide from inspector outlet. Helped me out, although most of it is covered through the 120 hours.
So did you also find that the proctored exam was that much harder than the practice exam here. I am going to take my test next week.
Yes, it is about 50% harder than the online home inspectors exam you take on NACHI. But don’t worry, download the study guide from inspector outlet. Study hard with the courses provided to us, eat a good breakfast and relax. Good luck on your exam.
Unlike the practice exam, the proctored exam has pictures and diagrams that are not very good (blurry print, can’t be expanded, not very clear, etc…).
-Carl
Yea, on some of them I had to take a second look.
Thanks guys, I’ll let everyone know how it goes.

Good luck, You got this:)
Finally getting around to starting the business. Florida exam was as expected. Use the study guide and the coursework here and all is good.

Hi Gang,
I got licensed before the FL State exam stuff so I am a bit unclear concerning the actual state test. Is it different from the NHIE (National Home Inspection Exam)? I though if you took the NHIE that qualified for Florida licensing. Sorry for my ignorance on this, however, I have a nephew that is looking into the biz. Thanks for any input.
It’s not the NHIE. The State of Florida approved InterNACHI’s proctored exam for licensing. InterNACHI only charges $125 for the FL licensing exam. Email me fastreply@nachi.org if you want to take it.
