Florida SB 2078 and HB 1495 for Uniform Mitigation Inspections

Amaising… Does Nick play any roll in making any sense of what supposely is happening…in Tallahassee. Or do we just asume that the bill is table and we will continue as normall. for the next few more years. Besides who cares about the license??? It will not help the consumer.

Greg do you have any insight??

The bill was signed into law by Governor Crist and has now become part of the Florida Statutes which means it is part of Florida law and it cannot be legally ignored, something will be in place by July 2010.

I cannot gather a final answer on this. It seems to me that the bill is effective July of 2009 and that all windstorm inspections must be performed by a GC, engineer, architect, or building inspector??

Home Inspector Licensing = July 2010, there was an extension.

WCE Program (My Safe Florida) Abolished = July 1st 2009

Wind Mitigation Inspections (B1-1802) must be performed by a GC, engineer, architect, or building inspector = TRUE
