a couple sailors on the beach in 73
Mother, was in the RCAF overseas, would inspect the Cadets during Remembrance Day ceremony’s held at Memorial Park in Carleton Place in Ottawa during veterans services with her late husband and then on her own, meet the Queen and Prince Charles and for years and was invited to veterans services in France. Unfortunately, due to her heath, it was recommended she remain in Montreal.
For all of you that served in the Armed Forces or Merchant seamen/Merchant mariners, we thank you for your selfless service.
God bless all Veterans!

I thought you guys might enjoy this. 1990ish my wife was an Air Refueling Boom operator on a KC-135 Stratotanker (She joined at 17 with parents permission, she was refueling by 18 years old), I was a ground grunt responsible for air launch cruise missile maintenance. These photos are from a trip to Hawaii and she was operating the boom from the back of the plane. She would lay on her stomach and fly the boom looking out these windows. I was lying atop her back taking these photos. (Interesting tip: She could do this at night with with no radio by moonlight) During desert storm, she would refuel 12-18 hours a day.

That is a badass boat! I get seasick, therefore I was as far from an ocean as possible in Minot, ND.
the worst two things to do on a canoe like that are putting on Your socks or sitting on the can with the bow dropping 30 to 40 feet at a time…I cant imagine hanging out of the back of a fuel tanker…
That’s where my oldest brother was stationed during the cuban crisis. Kennedy was not bluffing then, my brother said that everything that could fly was up in the air. Minot Airforce Base.
