I read somewhere that in a crawl space reaised foundation, if you see cracks
that don’t line up it could be serious. what exactly do they mean lined up. are they refering to say example a 5" vertical crack ,concrete the top of the crack don’t line up with the bottom meaning one straight line up and down . does anyone

I think they mean that there is vertical or horizontal movement when comparing one side of the crack to the other. That goes for any foundation cracking, and it’s usually not a good thing … even for narrow cracks.
