Furnace age info needed, please.

I am trying to determine the age of a Trane furnace. The information sticker was mostly missing, but I could read that the ANSI spec date is 1993. How close is this to the actual manufacture date?

I did post this on another board, but I am in kind of a hurry for the info.

Thanks to all, in advance.

Ed - ANSI updates their codes every five years. So if the ansi. date on the furnace was 1993 then the furnace was manufactured between 1993-1998.

Those that say it cannot be done should stop interupting those of us who are hard at work, doing it…

Todd, welcome, and thanks for the file.

There is more info embedded in the serial numbers than I ever knew.
