I contacted the Taiwan company, they teld me they wern’t the manufacturer.


I was able to learn that the name was actually 'FURNSMAN ', and was manufactured in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Furnsman was sold to Inter City Manufacturing about 30 years ago, and Inter City was subsequently sold to Carrier in the early 90s. There is no known supply of replacement parts.


The house I inspected had an old Furnasman, the house was built in 1956, and the serial on the furnace was badly scratched so I couldn’t tell if it started with 56 0r 66.City records gave date of permit as 56, so I suspect the furnace is original, needing repair and no parts available. Only one option available for the client who wants the house. Thanks for the info you provided, David Verge
