I saw this garage door track installation on an inspection yesterday, and found it unusual. Has anyone else seen this type of installation or have thoughts as to why this was done this way? The house was built in 2004.
The pictures would not upload. The garage door is installed on two tracks on each side. The top castor was installed on the top track, while the remaining castors were installed on the lower track.
If this diagram is what your refering to, it is a low headroom track. It makes a quicker turn for the door the the normal radius that you typically see.
Mr.Leahy. go to edit and then to the bottom right hand side of the box were you will see, save, advanced, delete, and cancel. Click on advanced. It will give a more advanced menu that will maybe let you download you pics. If not just exit and your post will not be displayed.
Give it a try. Nothing to lose everything to gain.
There is nothing more frustrating that not being able to upload or download pics to help explain a problem.
Good luck.
This is because the angle of the radius when the door opens and closes is to tight for the high of the doors segments.
Yes I have seen this several times.
I hope I am making myself explanatory. Hope you understand.
