In 1971, my new Nova cost $3,100. Gas was 28 cents a gallon. Back in 1978, I purchased a new 1978 Trans Am for $6,800, and gas was 68 cents a gallon. A new Camero these days is about $38,000, so gas should be around $3.80 per gallon. It is $3.35 here today.

The price will hit 4.00 per gallon because of Chairman Obama. Plain and simple. It was about $2.00 when he was imaculated.
And prices will drop again just before the election, to lock in the votes of those with no clue.

Perhaps you have forgotten that crude oil prices were less than half of what they are now during most of Bushes terms.
Nothing wrong with gas prices as most prices double every 10 years on average.
What are you paying for food compared to 5 years ago or even 2 years ago for that matter?
As far as alternative fuel sources from clean energy go the USA has fallen behind in progress researching Solar cells thanks to the Chinese dumping cheap older style units onto the market at a 54% price reduction which is good for now as more are using them.
The sun puts out enough energy in one hour to supply energy to the world for a year if we ever need to go there.
Wind,battery,etc are victims of the poor economy.

As far as prices go that doubling figure is for your entire lifetime and not just under Obama.
