I did a New home inspection this am and noted the Gas Range was plugged into a GFCI protected outlet. Is this a new requirement? I was thinking 1. all appliances were supposed to be on their own dedicated circuit(this shares the circuit with at least 2 other receptacles) and 2. They should not be on a GFCI protected circuit. Thoughts?
We had a thread on this here and over at I-news, code allows it (an exemption) as long as the manufacturer does not prohibit it.
Thanks Bruce. That makes sense. I think I will also double check with the Building Inspector too.
