Nice butcher job on the wall stud.
How many amps is that “house disconnect” breaker? Dang those feeder conductors look huge for that breaker. Were they trimmed down to fit?
The breaker marked “house service disconnect” with duct tape looks to be powering a sub-panel.
Was there a detached garage or structure with a sub-panel?
Not sure. I was sent this photo and thought it was a worthy share.
Was there a question that came with it?
I see possible issues but hard to say for sure from just the picture.
No, I have friends in remodeling that occasionally send me “wtf” pictures
Damn… that looks “Canadian Hillbilly Farmer” to me!!
99% chance the seller is an electrician apprentice or is related to or friends with an electrician apprentice. They just had to get things hooked up quickly and will tidy it all up when they get time.
It looks like it is setup up as a subpanel with a four-wire feed and isolated neutral. The “house disconnect” presumably disconnects it from the main panel. I would try to find that main panel (or main disconnect) to see if this subpanel has a 200-amp breaker there as well. If 200-amps is being fed to this subpanel, I would verify that the main panel enclosure and this panel are both rated for at least 200-amps. It appears that that there is yet another 200-amp sub-sub-panel being fed from this one (with only a three-wire feed). Yikes!
I seriously doubt that!!
WHEN they find time. That is just simply impossible for the foreseen future with their busy schedule.
Why are you making excuses for their “work”? It this your work, or a relatives work?
Did I hit the nail on the head with my above comment? (You are from Iowa, don’t-cha’-know!)…
Must be the 'Chicken House’!
That’s what I saw when I blew the pic up, too, David.
Looks like it says #6-1/0 for the wire range so they were definitely cut down to fit. Could be a 125 amp? A 200 amp service feeding a 125 amp house sub-panel would not out of the ordinary.
