It always that electrical safety and un-workmen like scenarios arise in a lot of commercial buildings. I've seen it in commercial heating system wiring, countless times. Circulator pump wiring exposed (110 and 220 volt), romex wiring on commercial boilers, opened j-box's, unlabled dead fronts, even over-loaded wiring troughs.
Just plain sloppy work!

Joe: I realize that this isn’t a straight NEC forum, but with the changing of the language in 110.12 (which I like), it sure makes it hard to find where this is a violation (110.27), don’t you think? We talked about this at an IAEI meeting a while back and there many people who couldn’t find where this was addressed.
