Home Inspector Pro 4.7 Released for Windows! Now with HTML Reports & More!

Dom, it really has the look and feel of a PDF, really nothing like a webpage or similar looking to an HG report, which leads me to the question, why go through all the work of making a web report look like a PDF when you already have a working PDF program

That’s what I’m wondering.

Flexibility. Apple wasn’t supporting video on their pdf on an iPhone or iPad. Supooselya they will at some point but hasn’t happened. Also, if people viewed the report in a PDF preview program isn’t wasn’t fully function. The report would direct them to a full viewer which only took seconds but this gives maximum flexibility.

The reason to make make it look identical is so you know what your client sees. On other Html reports the pixel size of images is setup. The higher the resolution the smaller the images get. Check out other software reports on a surface pro for example.on a big monitor your narratives will look like one long line and tons of white spacearound photos. We were able to solve that problem!

I forgot to mention, click continuous in the top drown down to get a more traditional feel. The client can change to that now and inspectors will have the option to change the default shortly. There’s also a 2 page at once view too.

Dom been getting compliments from Clients and Agents for the what 5 months or so I have had this.

The pinch and zoom along with ability to add as much content as you wish without worry about download issues along with the video feature and all the integration options makes it the best by a long shot.

What do you mean? Can you send me a link or the pdf? Are you talking about in the Html or pdf?

Yeah it’s grabbing military time. Both are fixed and will be public shortly.

Leaving for big inspection shortly will send later.
Thanks…

Possibly. You can easily click the zoom to make it larger. With video there’s a player attached so it’s straightforward to build in.

Welcome to the HTML club. HomeHubZone, which has always provided HTML and PDF, recently released a version that also posted HTML to ISN. Our survey of home buyers say they want choice as to how they receive their reports with many of them picking more than one platform and HTML and PDF being the top. And as you say, with mobile platforms becoming the norm, HTML makes the experience more pleasant and accessible for the buyer wherever they read their report.

With HomeHubZone, there are no fees related to using the cloud, so no worries about being forced into paying more money. Check us out at www.homehubzone.com.

No offense Toby, but don’t you think it’s a bit rude to post an ad for your program inside of a Home Inspector Pro thread, in the Home Inspector Pro forum, about releasing a new version?

You do charge cloud fees, you just roll it into your monthly service fee. In fact, in HIP people can choose to create reports and send them to their clients without ever paying any monthly fee or cloud fee once they’ve purchased the software. So, if you always require a monthly fee, then doesn’t that mean your clients are forced to pay? I’m not sure why you feel the need to come on here and attack HIP, with innacurate info too!

I gave this Beta software called Home Hub Zone a try and it kept freezing up on me.

OK Beta so maybe it will improve but to be honest was a little Creeped out that everytime I used it someone would call me meaning my cell phone key strokes were being monitored.

HHZ is giving the software away but have heard rumors I hope are not true that Inspectors and Clients in the agreement with HHZ are being sent marketing Spam ] which is how the company reaches profitability. If this is true it is totally unethical.

I decided to terminate my trial and not take chances.

I didn’t realize I was in your forum when I posted. I found this post via a google search and didn’t notice where I was. I do apologize for that, never would have had I noticed, and have removed my post.

If you are still on your honeymoon, no response needed until you get back. When I hit video button a message pops up “now recording in 358x288”. When playing the video it has distortion.
Also would be nice if…
Loaded captions appeared initially after pressing the “Click here to add a caption” button. with an option to write an additional caption.
One more click added to mobile comments selection to turn comment blue and send to summary.
The ability to rearrange the order of photos within each section on mobile.
An option on mobile to not include a photo in the report yet still have it in the photos stored.
The ability to add captions while in the summary mode on mobile.

Hope you are still having a great honeymoon! If not, welcome home and congratulations!

Hi Samuel,

Yup, Dominic is still on his honeymoon with the Mrs., but we’re manning the shop. Is the video distorted while it’s recording? Or only after it gets back to the desktop? And when you say distorted, in what way? If you’d like, shoot us an example of the report or the inspection file (the .hzf) to help@homeinspectorpro.com and we can take a look.

Will do, thanks Dan!

Dan now that HTML is here any chance of bumping up the low video resolution.
I always need to upload full from file straight to desktop rather than mobile to make it worth looking at .

Maybe even a audio picture feature would be cool  voice over ]

As an apple user, I love your product.

When adding text to an image in the edit mode the default is yellow lettering, white background… very hard to read… please change default to a high contrast combo.

Also it would be nice if the “tray” would remain on screen in the caption mode.

Shweeet… just noticed the copy and paste functions in caption edit mode on mobile.
