Hot water heater that is wrap with insulation

My question is : If I remember correctly … an insulated hot water tank will void the manufactured warranty and is in a higher risk of causing a fire? So the insulated should be remove? Am I correct or not. Thanks Julie

Just curious what the manual you are holding has to say if anything.

I feel like a read it someplace but I do not remember where?

I contacted Giant a while back regarding wrapping the WH with insulation and they said that it would void the warranty.

Well Kenmore is fine with blankets…but it really grinds on me that they want me to accept their darn cookies to read their crummy 44-page manual with 41 pages of boiler plate BS err, nonsense.

The world will end in 12 years so they are doing their small part in energy conservation that they read on Facebook or some other misinformation provider. It makes them feel good! :-1: . . . and they didn’t have to do any thinking (which many of them aren’t capable of anyway).
