Hi, here’s my post for assignment #1
The attached photo is of the entry area of an en suite bathroom walk-in shower. The opening to the shower is trimmed in stone, has a glass door & the flooring below is ceramic tile. There is bubbling & deterioration of the wall surface, swelling & discolouration at the trim & the metal door stopper is very rusty. There was also water damage in the form of a water stain on the living room ceiling immediately below this shower.
[Although beyond the scope of a mold inspection, I thought I’d note that the homeowner removed some of the drywall & trim & found that there were signs of apparent mold on the wood framing & that the metal cornerbead & some of the framing nails were significantly rusty.]
