No it is not. It is the state test
The Illinois home inspector exam is in fact the National Home Inspector Exam (NHIE) with some added questions that cover IL specific questions pertaining to the IL home inspector license. So you need to study for the NHIE and then be sure you are familuar with the IL license law. For the NHIE you can obtain the exam content outline from its website and also you can invest in the study guides either in paper or E-book format. You will need to understand and comprehend the material that you will be tested on. The exam content outline will show you the areas of knowledge and percentage of quetions that the NHIE will test you on.
