It’s a sewer ejector pump. In the same room is a sump pump opposite side. As I stated I don’t run across these. Sorry I disappointed those who know everything. Must be pretty cool having the knowledge you have. Seriously just put me on your ignore list if you feel the need to keep belittling people. I have no time for you. Did you positively identify what the pictured pit (in the first post) is?
Have you never inspected a home with multiple sump pits before? Just because you found one sump pit, doesn’t automatically make the second pit an ejector pit.
Post your pic of the open pit for all to view and shut me up.
