Infra Red Thermal Imaging

Anyone oing this type of inspection? If so, what type costs are there and what kind of response are you getting from cliental, realtors, etc.

Thanks
Allan

HI Allan.
I looked into it a few months ago and the cost of the camera is incredible! Decided that I needed a new truck more! When the cost of the camera comes down to a non-life threatening (vs heart attack) level I will look at it again.
I have never been asked to do this so at this time I do not think that it is a viable option for me.

You can lease to own, and the equipment is insured in the lease price. At the end of the lease you turn the camera in. Good tax benefits I believe if you lease, also liability wise its not an asset as it is leased. Can’t remember the company that overed the lease though.

We’re holding courses on infrared cameras at our upcoming National Convention in Toronto www.nachi.org/convention2007.htm and Michael Rowan is teaching the portion that explains how to market and charge for this service.

Excellent. I’m planning on being at the convention in May. One course I’ll definetly take.
Thanks for the info. Also looked into lease option. Could buy a car for less payments. Just restarting may cause problems.
Thanks again everyone.
Allan

We just signed Hyatt Industries up for a booth at our www.nachi.org/convention2007.htm A Canadian supplier of Infrared Cameras. Go to www.nachi.org/convention2007.htm and scroll down to the exhibitor listings and look for Hyatt (alphabetically listed).
