Insane!!! Free Home Warranties for all InterNACHI-only members and all their clients.

And worth every penny.

Andrew, Andrew, Andrew…Before you go and make the same mistake I did…its alot more in depth than just a free warranty. I agree that warranties are good. Remember the saying…“Nothing in life is free”? This falls into the same line. I owe James, Richard and anyone else here an apology and I sincerly apologize. I was absolutley 100% wrong. This program is nothing more than a pimping of us to give them information to what I think is the new pyramid scheme that is out there. Man, to have faith in your fellow man and then be taken advantage of, just SUCKS BALLS! Dissapointed in the leadership here…But still a great organization and great people, I just feel like such a tool for not seeing it.

I would rather pay the $14 and not have to pimp myself or my clients out…

After reading the emails and the explanation as to how this “free” program will work, I have to agree. This is sleaze and it reeks.

This is the new NACHI. It could have been better than this.

I just paid out $420 on a valid claim. Plumbing leaks at laundry and exterior hose bib - 60 days after the inspection. Warranty was free to the client. No deductible. No service contractors.

Who verifies the claims?

I go to great lengths to explain that my service is in no way a warranty of any kind. It would defeat the purpose to now say, “well never mind that here is a warranty.” Not worth the headache for me.

An ethical business man to be sure!

Think about your client. They may actually need help and think this piece of crap has some actual value.

Now that I think about it. I hope my competition starts offering these warranties. It will make it even easier to take their clients away from them once the client has been exposed to the phantom warranty.

Will, I use another warranty service and they have paid in the past…no problem. They are not PHANTOM…sure they are limited, but whats NOT limited? Well, do your own thing and good luck. I have been using it for long time. No problems at all. What the contract reads, they do.

Service Tragic?

Oh, gag me with a maggot.

I’ve been down their road before.

When I didn’t include a warranty with my inspection service, I went to great lengths explaining that a home inspection is not a warranty.

After I decided to include a warranty with the my inspection service, it was easy to demonstrate that point.

I actually could hold up two documents, and explain, “This is my report. This is your warranty.” Obviously not one in the same.

WOW! this is great news, I was looking into these warranties only last week. Thanks

Can you post a list on the Nachi website of what is covered and what is not covered?

Meeeeeeeeeeeee

Gary wins!

Ok, now I am truly lost!!!

I just read the warranty. It explains all the exclusions. If you give the warranty to them along with your report it explains them up front just as your inspection agreement explains them. I that bothers you have another document for them to sign when they accept the warranty stating that they understand it’s limitations. It’s free. MAKE it work to your benefit.

Do we need to contact MHW to sign up or anything…a little more info on the mechanics of the program would be helpful.

There’s a short video of “how to sign up” on the home page. www.mountainwarranty.com

You can sign in, no need to purchase anything. Once signed in, you have your own account. In your account you get to see a record of your submitted warranties, your warranty credits, and a note area. At that note area, I can keep you up to date about the warranties or information about claim processing.

This message board is not the place to for this detail stuff though. Please feel free to call me or email me.

I just found out that American Home Warranty has pulled out of the state of Florida. I hate when I start something new and the company stops offering the service.
