insulation basics

I am fairly new to the inspection family. Could someone please explain the color and texture of common blown-in insulation? I am familiar with batts and rolls; it’s the rock wool, cellulose, etc. that I am having trouble with. Thanks.

Go here some coloured pictures of both and how they compair .

More important than the type, color or texture is the location and thickness of the applied material
