I looked for a thread but could not find what I wanted. Can someone tell me how
you get signed up with the different Insurance Companies? A friend of mine
needed a wind Mitigation and the Insurance company sent an Inspector to her
house. She didn’t hire the Inspector the Insurance company did.
She may not have “hired” them, but she still had to pay them.
Most insurance offices refer out the vendor that they want (or choose) to work with; if you want to service that market, get out there and start meeting some agents/brokers/etc. You’ll have to offer them something they aren’t already getting, most agents have a few “go-to” inspectors already for their needs.
It’s an open market, but most offices will simply choose the person or inspection company that provide the least expensive report, with the least amount of hassles.
