So in my area we had a bad hail storm getting all these messages from customers insurance company gave me your number and they said to have me come out and do a damage inspection on roof ac to see if a repair or replace is in order never done this how much do I charge and just make out a damage report
(Travel hours) + (work hours) X (your hourly rate)
is one way to do it.

If you want to learn more, you should take the Advanced Residential Roof Course that InterNachi offers. It has great information on wind and hail damage.
Some years back I also took a course from CertainTeed that was free and besides proper installation it also gave tips on identifying hail and wind damage. I believe I even received a certificate from them!
