Interested in a ride along

Hello, my name is Michael. Im in the panhandle of Florida looking for ride alongs with a knowledgeable home inspector to help show me the ropes before adventuring off on my own. Even though im in the panhandle, i am willing to travel. If anyone can help me, i would be greatly appreciative.

Michael, you may have more of a response if you are a InterNACHI member.

And, you may want to contact some CMIs or CPIs within 40 to 50 miles, or closer, to your area and communicate with them. Maybe one, or more, will help you. Some inspectors feel as though they are training their competition by ride-alongs or mentoring or hiring and some are into it just for the $.

Yeah i am not lookkng to steal anyones business. I dont mind traveling within florida to get some on hands training. Just want to make sure I do i good job for a potential home buyer or owner.

Are you licensed in Florida to do home inspections? Did you go to home inspection school? Why not join InterNachi and watch the webinar’s on real inspections.

I did go to Home Inspection School. I am certified and licensed with the state. I have my business open already. Was just wanting to learn the ropes from someone that has been doing it already. First hand experience is always the best way of learning a new skill. I am going to join Inter-nachi, but right now, i am already dishing out a lot just to have my business up and going with no contracts. I could go get contracts but wanted a little training first.

Please elaborate on your statement. Do you understand how this industry operates?
