I have just gotten my IRC1/2 book in and starting to read over it. I have heard its best to just know where to find the codes in the book for the test, BUT (notice big but) Is there a prefered way, rhyme reason, best way to study for this test. This reminds me of reading law books, DRY DRY DRY.

More than reading it, you must know how to use it, especially the tables. They can be confusing. I took a class on the IRC and picked up a ton of great information that helped me out a ton.
You really need to know how to use the tables, they are tricky.

Hello Stephen,
Welcome to the board. The Central Florida Chapter just started a study group covering this subject. Please e-mail me if you would like to have some study guides. You are welcome to join our group. You can participate through this board and e-mail.
I would suggest that you get the tabs if you haven’t already.

Stephen,
The main point I got from our local C.FL. Chapter was dont go crazy trying to memorize the codes. Just do the study guides so you can get familiar on how to use the book, where to find the info. Finding the info fast is the key to taking the open book tests.
