Some of the local cities that have point of sales require there be a seperation wall for the basement bath when there is a toilet.
The city I inspected no longer has a interior point of sale.
Is there a code that states if a toilet is installed there needs to be a seperation wall?
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave I would check with the municipality where the building resides.

In Ontario, there has to be a dividing wall and it has to be sealed, only if there is a mid-efficiency furnace and/or a hot water heater that uses a b-vent.
