Items Needed for Inspections

I know everyone has heard this, but I have not been able to find it. Are there some checklist, forms, aka easy onside guides to make sure you look at all ideas needed.?

What state are you in? Does your state require you to follow an SOP? If not use the InterNachi sop. Most all report software have templates in their mobile app. You just open your app and start an inspection. It will be your guide on what to report on. Your inspections at first will take awhile, but after 100 inspections it gets much easier and faster. I do not use a mobile app for my inspections, I find it to be a time suck. I just use a camera. This is what works for me. I would rather spend my time in the office doing the report instead of spending hours onsite.
The average house takes me about an hour on site and an hour writing the report.
If the client or agent is there I will spend 30 minutes reviewing my findings and photos with them.

Afternoon, David Parrott.
Hope to find you well and in good spirits today.
Welcome to the community! Pleasure meeting you.

I bet you were nervous posting for the first time. I was. That’s for sure. I made spelling mistakes and more. Lol.

Take you time, collect your thoughts and simply explain what it is you are looking for in a checklist.
Click on the link below.
Home Inspection Checklists.
Basic Home Inspection Checklist.

There will be plenty of material there to keep you busy for some time.

Organize yourself. Open word page on you PC and start folder. TITLE: Home Inspection Check lists.
Inside ANY folder insert files. Title: Basic Home Inspection Checklist pdf.

Good luck.
Robert

Welcome to the forum, David.

For clarity, are you looking for a checklist of inspection items to inspect for a home inspection, or are you looking for a list of tools you should have to perform a home inspection?

I am looking for a checklist.

Many inspection report software companies have templates which act as a “checkiist” of sorts.
Taking your specific SOP and making a “checklist” to fit your style of inspecting may be helpful.
