Member Russell Spriggs and I are putting together a strategy and organizational meeting with the goal of having the Colorado NACHI Chapter take full control of the entire Colorado home inspection market.
At this meeting we will be discussing strategies for implementing member-combined marketing including the development of Chapter brochures and websites that include the contact information of all NACHI members in Colorado.
We will also decide on what continuing education we want to bring to our members in Colorado and lay out steps to schedule NACHI training seminars.
This meeting looks like it will take place in Longmont on August 22nd. Details forthcoming. All welcome.

I think it is time for us to do this on a state wide basis. We could develop something to be used state wide. Just break up the inspector information into different regions. Would you like to discuss this at our meeting on the 20th? It is time for us to have ads in the board of realtors monthly mailing.

Nick,
I think the NACHI members here in Oklahoma would like to see that type of development happen here in Oklahoma also. If the progrm works in Colorado is there a chance of doing it in other states?

Yes, there are regional chapters throughout this area, too. I advertise in 3 papers; the 4th local does not accept advertising. Monthly ads start at $45 per 1/8th page, and go up.

Great meeting tonight. We unanimously agreed to create a Colorado brochure that lists all NACHI members in Colorado… currently 64 in number and growing. We also elected a steering committee for the chapter, unanimously voted to put Russell in charge of it, decided on a few domain names for a chapter website, started preparing for a 1-day heating seminar, committed ourselves to manning a booth at every real estate event in Colorado, agreed to meet every even numbered month, and of course ate like pigs.
Some meetings just click and this was one of them. We seemed to group-think and have pledged to each other to group-market. Eventually we may be the first state to have only one brochure for the entire home inspection market. Russell and I are going to work on designing the brochure together.
Once Russell and I finish the Colorado NACHI brochure we will mail it to all other chapter heads so they may review and consider.
