Does anyone else use Legal zoom for their registered agent for their LLC? I just want to see if there’s a cheaper,better way.Thank you.
I used my attorney and it cost about $75/year including the yearly state fee.
My attorney is my registered agent. He handling registering my LLC and is my registered agent-no charge.
You can be the registered agent.

The rules vary by state. In NY the secretary of state acts as your agent.
No doubt, but that one seems strange. IIRC: in CO the registered agent is the resident (must reside in state) representative for LLC that is the state contact should they need to serve papers or similar. That would have to work quite differently if the SOS is the agent.

A cheaper way would be for you to be the registered agent.
