I understand that there are some issues with the Lennox Pulse, so I am trying to determine the date of the one I inspected today.

Here is the model # G21Q3-80-01

The serial # is 5892HO6076.

I have a cheek sheet that I use…but this one I can not figure out.

Thanks for any help on this one. icon_confused.gif

Looks like May of 89, according to the local Lennox/Armstrong guy.

Kelly, there are recalls out for Lennox Pulse furnaces installed around that date. Check out http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prerel.html to determine if your furnace is involved.

Lennox Industries Inc. is warning of possible carbon monoxide leaks in its Pulse furnaces installed before 1990. After some dealers reported corrosion in some Pulse furnace heat exchangers in units installed before 1990, Lennox said in April that it would pay its dealers to inspect the furnaces. Owners of older Pulse furnaces are urged to call the company's toll-free number, (800) 537-4341, for a furnace inspection and a safety check. Lennox will replace faulty heat exchangers at no cost or give the owner a $400 rebate on a new furnace. The company also is providing free carbon monoxide detectors as part of the program.

Lennox recommends that all Pulses the G14 and G21 have the heat exchanger pressure tested every four years for excessive leakage.
